Menstrual Cups - Made for the Bold, Brave, and Beautiful.
HOW TO USE A
MENSTRUAL CUP
We know that the first time can be quite daunting (yes, we’ve been there too!). And it may take a few periods to get the hang of it. But don’t worry, this guide will help you on your way to experience your best period ever!
Fold and insert
Wear and relax
Remove and clean
STEP 1
Thoroughly wash your hands with soap and water before handling your Bessy Cup.
Before first use, wash your Bessy Cup with an unscented, pH-balanced cleanser.
Fill the Sterilizer Cup with freshly-boiled water and fully submerge the Bessy Cup for 5 minutes.

STEP 2
Flatten the cup and fold it in half to make a C-fold.
You can also try the punch-down fold to see which one works best for you. Press down on the rim, then pinch the base to hold the fold in place.
STEP 3
You can sit, squat down, or stand with one leg raised, whichever you find most comfortable.
With your free hand, gently separate your labia.
Slide your Bessy Cup rim first into the vagina, inserting it towards your tailbone.
When the entire cup is inside, let it pop open.

STEP 4
Run your finger around the body of the cup. If you feel any folds, gently rotate the cup until it opens fully.
You can also push your finger against the vaginal walls to give the cup space to open.
Then, give the stem a slight tug. If you feel some resistance, it means the seal has been created and you are good to go!

You can wear the cup for up to 12 hours.
But on heavier flow days, you might need to empty it every 3-4 hours to avoid any leaks.

STEP 5
To remove, wash your hands.
Locate the cup by feeling for the stem (remember not to pull it!).
Use your pelvic floor muscles to push the cup down. Pinch the base of the cup to release the seal then wiggle it back and forth until it is out.
Empty the contents in the toilet, rinse, and reinsert.

THAT’S IT!
Remember, if you don’t get it right the first time, keep trying. Give yourself at least 3 cycles to master these steps. (Promise, it’s worth it!)
